Chocolate Mondays

If I can be anyone today, I would be this dog. This is exactly how I feel when I see a chocolate fountain. Pic found here: Imgfave.

On a different note, the Neighbourgoods Market opened up in Johannesburg this past weekend. I convinced the S.O* we should go and off we went. And I am so glad we did. After driving around and around to find the place (Braamfontein has too many confusing one ways) we finally found it. I gotta say - I loved it. Even though it was packed and there is not a lot I can eat being a strict vegetarian, the vibe was easy going, friendly, fashionable and fun! It reminded me of when South Africa hosted the Soccer World Cup in 2010, combined with the Greenwich Market in London. What I did get to eat was divine. With Johannesburg having such an entrenched mall culture, it was beyond amazing to walk outside a bit. Stalls actually ran out of food, and some out of business cards because they did not expect such a great turn out. Return trips are a must!

Chocolate Mondays have been created to banish Monday Blues, or at least lessen the sting of a new working week.

Did you see the Gourmet Mushroom stall? They were selling these amazing skewered mushrooms on the grill. They were going real fast though, so I wouldn't be surprised if they were also sold out.
Choccy fiend that you are, I know you'll appreciate the Honest Chocolate range. I bought a tub of their raw organic choc spread. It was pricey at just over R50, but you really need just a scrape from the jar to dissolve into a mushy puddle of happy.

Saal: Oh wow, you were there! Must have missed you. :( I seen a stall selling a range of shrooms on the left when I walked in, but they were not cooking them so I think they must have sold out by the time I got there. And I saw that choc spread you mentioned. I tasted it there - was so good. Since I am still fully stocked on Nutella, I wanna finish that up before I buy another. I quite liked the food from the Haris Haris stall - strictly Ethiopian vegetarian. Yums.

Azra: :) great minds...
