Reason being is that I have been on leave for a very short while. But on the down side my company is talking about restructuring Editorial to Cape Town. While I would love to move to that beautiful city, it is not possible at the moment. S.O* and I are getting married, I cannot ask him to resign and start anew because my job needs to move. And I cannot just pack up the rest of my life and move to another city for the sake of a job...
There has been talk of retrenchments and I suspect because I cannot relocate, I will get the axe. It has been a scary and stressful few weeks in this regard.
*S.O = Significant Other
Chocolate Mondays have been created to banish Monday Blues, or at least lessen the sting of a new working week.

OH.EM.GEE!!
I think I just fell in love!! *sigh* :D
Ok, now that I've recovered...
So sorry to hear about your stresses. I know it's a terrible thing to go through when you don't have job security. I love teaching English to foreigners but it's not something I can do here in SA forever. It would suit me well if I was living overseas and I was actually making money. So I'm just doing my training (and TEFL if I can bloody get around to it) and then I'm off to look for a REAL job that pays REAL money. And its scary because the market isn't sympathetic and the economic climate isn't ideal. So once again, I feel for you.
Can we start sharing the same Happy, Ecstatic, Blissful feelings please?? As much as I'm comforted by the fact that I'm not alone, this caca has to end ;P
I am so sorry to hear about your job that would be so stressful but you have to do what is right for you and if that means not moving than thats what you need to do. Goodluck!
Azra, thanks. I think the best option is to eventually get your own business - that way you do not have to worry about being 'just another replaceable employee'
Megan, that is very true. Thanks for the support!
